This Christmas, I was fortunate to be able to take my children to see the area I grew up. We visited a popular picnic spot at Rocky Creek Dam, which is part of the water supply for the city of Lismore. For me this is a place full of chilhood memories as my parents would often take me there as a child. To return there with my brother and our children was something special.
Rocky Creek Dam definitly lived up to my memories and I wonder if any future grandchildren will also get to see this beautiful place!

Love those special places from childhood, I can still vividly remember all the picnics spots we would head to as a family, such happy times. I must make a point of introducing my boys to some of them as they grow older. Gorgeous photos, looks like a beautiful sun shiny day and some very happy kidlets there too :o) xo

This is a really lovely place. I live in a very different world now but it reminds me a bit of where I grew up in S. Africa. Nothing beats the Southern Hemisphere! How marvellous that you could take your kids to somewhere with such special memories.
