Water Lilly at Rocky Creek Dam

This Christmas, I was fortunate to be able to take my children to see the area I grew up. We visited a popular picnic spot at Rocky Creek Dam, which is part of the water supply for the city of Lismore. For me this is a place full of chilhood memories as my parents would often take me there as a child. To return there with my brother and our children was something special.

Rocky Creek Dam definitly lived up to my memories and I wonder if any future grandchildren will also get to see this beautiful place!

Stopping to gaze at the grandeur!

A view over the dam...after quite a climb!

For the wonderful weekend flowers memes, I'm linking up with Tina's Weekend flowers and Flowers on Saturday Stop by and see beautiful flowers from all over the world!

  1. Love those special places from childhood, I can still vividly remember all the picnics spots we would head to as a family, such happy times. I must make a point of introducing my boys to some of them as they grow older. Gorgeous photos, looks like a beautiful sun shiny day and some very happy kidlets there too :o) xo

  6. This is a really lovely place. I live in a very different world now but it reminds me a bit of where I grew up in S. Africa. Nothing beats the Southern Hemisphere! How marvellous that you could take your kids to somewhere with such special memories.
