Sitting alone on that bus...20 years ago, I wonder what I would have thought if someone told me that in 20 years, I'd be standing at that lookout with my three children, taking photos!
Today I'm sharing Wordless Wednesday at My Little Drummer Boys, Sakura Haruka and Tina's pic story. Pop over and see some great Wordless Wednesday posts!
We headed down to the Cotter on Monday (hooray for random public holidays!) and it was going gangbusters. I didn't even think about Lake George, but I'm not surprised it's full(ish).
ReplyDeleteWe're currently living, with two kids, on the grounds of the college where Mr A and I met. He's back here teaching. It's mind-blowing!
I hear Cotter dam looks awesome at the moment!......actually the Cotter was the place that my partner and I had our first date!!
DeleteInteresting shots!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW to you! :)

DeleteI'm with you on this. I went to Canberra for the first time probably almost 20 years ago too and Lake George was, well, a lake. With water. Every other trip I've made since has had me searching and craning my neck to see the Lake but to no avail. It looks pretty good with water in it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Veronica! I remember the water lapping against the side of the road!
DeleteWe drove past there last year and there was no water to be seen! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy...I thought I'd better get some shots because I'm not sure how long its going to last!
DeleteWhat pretty shots and pretty little people
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Julia!
DeleteThat certainly is a sight to see! I have several photos from that area, all minus the water, and all taken from the car was we drove by.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! It looks a whole lot nicer with water in it!!
DeleteI can remember standing at the same lake all dried up. Just goes to show just how much rain we have had. Noah build me an Arc! xx
ReplyDeleteCanberra has certainly had some rain! more than I can remember...I think we are supposed to be getting some more too!
DeleteI was in Canberra last weekend too ! Wasn't Lake George just amazing ??? We drove by in the dark with the beautiful moon reflecting on the water. Have never seen it like that. Ever.
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace...the moon reflecting on the lake sound wonderful!
Deletewow look at that wind farm great photos
ReplyDeleteTanks Tamara. I think the wind farm makes the lake look a bit surreal!
DeleteI went here a few years ago and you really wouldn't know its the same lake!! Looks gorgeous now!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The water and green grass really make a difference!
DeleteLooks beautiful !
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteLovely photos! I find those windmill things fascinating, probably because we don't have them here in Sydney, they're quite eye-catching. I often think back to days gone by and how I used to wonder back then about who I would marry and when I would have children. Creating new memories with your family, that's what it's all about xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! It's so funny how life goes sometimes isn't it.... you never can see into the future, but I think it's a good thing. :)
ReplyDeletethanks for your wordless beautiful pics :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics Nicole and some good memories :)
