Wordless Wednesday: Lake George....with Water!!

Travelling to Sydney form Canberra this weekend, we couldn't help but stop and take some photos of lake George. Usually, the lake is a dry plain for cattle grazing. The last time I remember there being so much water was when I first came to the ACT about 20 years ago to start University!!

Sitting alone on that bus...20 years ago, I wonder what I would have thought if someone told me that in 20 years, I'd be standing at that lookout with my three children, taking photos!

Today I'm sharing Wordless Wednesday at My Little Drummer Boys, Sakura Haruka and Tina's pic story. Pop over and see some great Wordless Wednesday posts!

  1. We headed down to the Cotter on Monday (hooray for random public holidays!) and it was going gangbusters. I didn't even think about Lake George, but I'm not surprised it's full(ish).

We're currently living, with two kids, on the grounds of the college where Mr A and I met. He's back here teaching. It's mind-blowing!

  3. I'm with you on this. I went to Canberra for the first time probably almost 20 years ago too and Lake George was, well, a lake. With water. Every other trip I've made since has had me searching and craning my neck to see the Lake but to no avail. It looks pretty good with water in it!

  11. Lovely photos! I find those windmill things fascinating, probably because we don't have them here in Sydney, they're quite eye-catching. I often think back to days gone by and how I used to wonder back then about who I would marry and when I would have children. Creating new memories with your family, that's what it's all about xo
